Weekend in Camotes Island

We have been wanting to visit this island ever since we came here in Cebu.  But only this weekend that we were able to push through and made it to the island.  Camotes island is said to he the lost horizon of the south because of its unspoiled beauty.  Well, true to it's title, you'll going to be out of the grid when you get there.  There is no internet available and phone signal on most areas.

There are two ways to get to the island.  Via Cebu City port or Danao port.  The first trip in Cebu port is at 10am but we wanted to arrive in the island early so we decided to bring our car so we could ride the first trip at 530am in Danao. We left our car for overnight parking inside the port for P300.

I captured this from the boat @ 5:30am
My daddy's girl
The boat was full, aircon tickets were already sold out so we were at the open air and that we were not able to sit in one row. Good thing that we were on the first trip because we enjoyed the morning ocean breeze plus the sunrise.

We arrived in the island around 7:30am.  We didn't get a transport service from the resort we are staying so we just hopped in to the one of the many passenger's dyipney parking at the port terminal. Good decision that we didn't get the transport service from the resort for P500. We only paid P200 for P50 per head so we saved P300 pesos right in there.

After less than 30 minutes we arrived at Santiago Bay Resort.
Kiddos jumped in right away for a little rest before we do the Island tour
We got a big clean and neat room better than I expected. The ambiance of the resort is also nice the only major turn down is that there is no cable tv and it is a total no phone network site which I think all  of the resorts in the island also don't have.

Off we go to our Island tour!

We rented the same dyipney we rode to Santiago Bay Resort.  We paid P2,000 for the 7 destinations P1,000 less of what there were originally offered us. I did the bargaining and it worked, yey! Now we off to our Island tour...will be posting it next.

Yolk Coffee and Breakfast on our 13th!

It has been a while since I last publish a post.  I would just always start it, make a title save it so I could finish it the next time but I just ended up accumulating my drafts.  Years of drafts posts so imagine how many pages in my page manager are still there waiting.  Now I'm trying to make another post so I hope I finish it this time.

Today is our 13th year marriage anniversary.  Yep, congratulations to us!  I am sick since Saturday and I don't expect of anything today to happen since I cannot make myself even stand up because I'm still dizzy plus unbelievable amount of rashes all over my body appeared that I doubted came from my 3 days and 2 nights high fever.  But the asawa as usual has no gift, no video either this time but a FB post wanted at least to celebrate the day.  My husband knowing me that loves coffeehouse with striking interiors, has a latte art plus of course a delectable meal had himself searched a new place in town that we have not yet tried.  Me, being wanted to make him feel that I appreciate the effort, I wrap myself with a longsleeves to cover the undesirable rashes that may others dining there see and feel disgust and ruin their morning date.  Alright the intro is way too long I know...so finally here, we talk about the cafe! Haha

We arrived there just minutes after they opened. They open daily @7:30am.  Yup we were there that early.  After we sent the kiddos to school we directly went there just the right time that their limited parking space was still vacant.  The cafe is located just behind the bread after bread along F. Cabahug St.

That quaint and old fashioned appearance outside is so inviting that I can't wait to see what is more inside.  I have a thing with bricks and it always give me a delightful feeling each time I see brick walls.   I am so right,  an industrial interiors and decors welcomed us.

I love all those diy decors I saw inside. It made me feel cozy and refresh after 4 days of being sick and staying all day in our bedroom.
Happiness is having a leisurely breakfast with your man on a special day. 💖   Thank you daddy for making today's morning extra ordinary.
We tried their eggs benny -pumba and bacon and mushroom dream plus latte and iced coffee.

We stayed for a while and enjoyed the ambiance a little more. Yolk more that coffee is all about eggs I am surely going to come back here with my little girl who loves eggs!

Wow I finished it! But before I end it let me add our collage of selfies, well what's a date without a selfie...hehe.

Mogambo Springs date with Girlfriends

Girl's last day of vacation. Abandoning the original plan to go out the resort and they decided to spend the whole afternoon at the resorts Spa. Of course, I joined. How can I resisted a free Mogambo Springs complete experience!

So there we were, a total relaxing afternoon.

Mogambo Springs is a Japanese inspired Spa located inside Plantation Bay Resorts and Spa.  Totally a whole different world when you get inside.  You will truly feel what it would be like to be inside of those Spa places you only see in the magazines (this is for me that have not been in Japan yet, but for those that have already visited the country...you may confirm it yourself).  It is said that the Spa is recapturing the ambiance of Tokugawa Japanese village in 1783.  This Japanese inspired oasis is a must experience when you visit Cebu. I know it is a bit pricey when you are going to book a stay in the hotel but I tell you, you do not need to check in to the hotel to experience the spa, yes you read it right because they also accommodate walk-ins as long as you are going to avail a P1,000 service each person. Just call before hand so they get informed what time is your arrival.

So here are the photos I've taken inside.

By the way, we learned that they have rooms inside that are also available for check-in if you wanted a more private area.

And finally the Goddess!
Definitely it was a relaxing and energy charging afternoon for them before going back to Manila and back to their normal day to day grind.  And of course, for me too!

Sunday Loving Wii @ BE!

Still excited to swim but they did not forget about the playroom. So we agreed that after breakfast and before swimming we are going to play first.

Little Rascals Weekend Blastoff!

Another playground for my Iittle rascals.  A short get away from the city.  Different from their usual weekend of going out to mall and Dave's house pIayroom routine,  I am so glad to have found this place.

Rascals spent their night in this cozy place.
they super liked the room. cool room they said
After they have enjoyed to ransack the bedroom, finally they asked us to go out and see the outside of this cute resort.
whats next to visit but the playroom
They enjoyed the playroom the next day.  A Sunday Loving Wii.

They were in their swimming suit already and like other kids that are slave of the water once they see one, nothing could make them wait longer but jump in!
